Royal Mail Edinburgh - The first 12 weeks will be in at Royal Mail Edinburgh then reducing to a hybrid 3 days in office working arrangement.

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Systems Analyst to support our development team and help maintain the smooth running of key operational systems. This role sits at the heart of our system administration, testing, and development processes—ideal for someone keen to grow their technical expertise in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

  • Complete service requests in Epicor (user access, password resets, menu updates)
  • Maintain ServiceNow tickets and raise incidents/problems in EpicCare
  • Prepare documentation and notes for planned system changes
  • Update training material and knowledge base content
  • Monitor daily system processes and interfaces
  • Maintain system documentation, backups, ICDs, and version histories
  • Support system release processes including deployment preparation and checks
  • Perform scheduled deployment tasks, occasionally out-of-hours
  • Support development and testing processes where needed
  • Provide rotational early/late shift cover for key tasks
  • Handle queries via shared inboxes and support general system tasks

About You

  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Programming experience beneficial (C#, JavaScript, VBA, SQL)
  • Experience with data analytics and software testing desirable
  • Previous IT/computing experience or qualifications
  • Knowledge of change and incident management (ITIL) ideal
  • Team player with a focus on improvements and efficiency
