RMPP Pensions Payroll Administrator - NHRS - Sheffield,

Starting salary: Β£25,758 plus Β£300 per quarter bonus potential, 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays

Permanent, Full time

Location: Royal Mail, Pond Street, Sheffield, S98 6HR - four days' office attendance per week

As an RMPP Pensions Payroll Administrator, you'll help ensure pension payments are processed accurately and on time, support members and stakeholders, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that keep our service performing at its best.

About the role

As an Pensions Payroll Administrator you will

  • Process, reconcile and arrange pension payroll payments across monthly and quarterly cycles, including overseas payments.
  • Calculate additional payments, including trivial and suspended pension payments.
  • Update member records following changes to personal details.
  • Respond professionally to queries from pension scheme members and third parties, including HMRC.
  • Support key annual activities, including pension increases, child benefit entitlement reviews and the issuing of P60s.
  • Contribute ideas and take an active role in continuous improvement activities that strengthen quality, efficiency and the member experience.

About You

  • Experience or knowledge of general employee payroll or pension payroll processes.
  • Demonstrate strong numerical skills, accuracy and attention to detail when processing and checking information.
  • Have effective problem-solving skills and the confidence to investigate discrepancies and identify practical solutions.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, with the ability to build positive relationships with members, colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Bring an improvement mindset, looking for opportunities to simplify processes, improve service quality and deliver better outcomes for pension scheme members.
  • A relevant pensions or payroll qualification, such as CIPP, would be advantageous, although we will also support candidates who are keen to work towards a professional qualification.
