You will:

  • Establish and mobilise projects.
  • Define and agree project scope, approach and governance.
  • Identify and engage stakeholders, creating effective communication plans.
  • Build robust business case inputs including cost, resource and risk estimates.
  • Form and lead high performing project teams, including matrix and supplier resources.

  • Lead delivery with discipline and confidence.
  • Drive project teams to deliver on time, on budget and to the required quality.
  • Manage delivery using agreed methodologies and strict change control.
  • Act as Systems Integrator-coordinating internal teams and global professional services partners.
  • Maintain clear controls across risks, dependencies, decisions, issues and assumptions.
  • Oversee financial management, reporting, governance and project cadence.
  • Ensure compliance with data and cyber security obligations.
  • Work closely with Business Change to ensure successful adoption.
  • Close projects effectively.
  • Lead transition into BAU teams with clear service and user acceptance criteria.
  • Complete controlled project closure including financials, documentation and lessons learned.
  • Manage and develop team members to raise capability across the function.
  • Recruit high calibre talent into the programme.
  • Deputise for the Portfolio or Programme Director when required.

About you:

You are an experienced technology project leader who thrives in complex, fast moving environments. You bring clarity where there is ambiguity, calm where there is pressure, and structure where there is scale.

We are looking for someone with:

  • 2+ years’ experience delivering technology projects, ideally including SAP financial management, SAP transformations or migrations.
  • Proven ability to lead matrix teams of up to 50 people and manage supplier partners.
  • Strong leadership presence-credible, composed and able to influence senior stakeholders including Board members.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly.
  • High resilience, strong negotiation skills and a pragmatic, common sense approach.
  • A collaborative, solution focused mindset with the ability to motivate others.
  • Professional project management certification (APMP, Prince2, Prince2 Agile) or willingness to work towards one.
  • A growth mindset, emotional intelligence and a strong work ethic.
