Royal Mail International Operations is based at HWDC (Heathrow Worldwide Distribution Centre), one of the UK largest, and most efficient automated Hubs in the UK. Worldwide import and export items are processed through HWDC, which operates 24/7 to meet strict customs and aviation security specifications and connects over 195 countries worldwide.
HWDC has a vacancy for a Resourcing Support on the late shift to join the team, where you\’ll play a key role in supporting the Resource Manager and keeping operations running smoothly across all shifts.
In this role, you\’ll support the Resource Manager in producing all the required reports throughout the shift and communicating with the members of staff on shift with their queries.
Key duties
- Manage daily absence updates in internal systems and trackers; produce sick letters and ensure welcome back meetings are completed and closed.
- Run and distribute key reports (absence, variance, staffing numbers, G/L accounts, variable pay) and elevate discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate work patterns, sign on sheets, annual leave allocations, and rehab plans.
- Handle daily staff queries (overtime, annual leave, sign on issues) and monitor lateness/no clock cases for managerial action.
- Communicate absence information and operational issues with Shift Managers and the Resource Manager.
- Publish ad‑hoc overtime when required and action all Line Manager emails.
- Answer calls and respond to email queries.
- Complete all standard tasks independently every Saturday.
- Prepare presentation slides and attend CWU union meetings as required.
- Support additional ad‑hoc duties assigned by the Line Manager.
Attendance: Tuesday – Saturday, 14:12 – 21:48
About You
- From a staff resourcing/planning background.
- Excellent IT computer skills, especially in Excel (V look up, pivot tables), reporting and data analysis – essential.
- Clear communication both written and verbal.
- Ability to check information accurately and maintain error‑free records.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a wider team environment.
- Comfortable using internal systems, completing simple forms, and recording operational data accurately.
- Consistently reliable attendance and timekeeping.
