Relay Medical operates a secure closed network and manages specialised solutions for medical, retail, professional service, and government departments. Compliance and meeting customer standards is integral part of our unique selling point.
We have a vacancy for a Relay Health Operations Support Manager at the Thurrock hub who is responsible for managing operational teams and have a strong focus on training and development as RM Health continues to grow in the medical market.
About the role
Reporting to the Relay Health Operations Manager, you\\\’ll support and lead a team of 20 staff on the night shift and be responsible for managing multiple complex traffic streams, the relay health network service and work with the Relay-Control function to instigate recovery plans and reporting where required. You\\\’ll support the RHOM to achieve compliance within Transport & Health & Safety and attain accreditation of Good Distribution Practice (GDP) by driving up standards to meet medical client specifications and to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- The daily efficient operations across the network.
- Supplier services (network, PFW, HAE etc).
- Training and development of frontline staff to meet MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) and GDP (Good Distribution Practices).
- Hub proactive and full reporting to Relay Control and the Helpdesk and other stakeholders.
- Maintain quality of service standards at industry leading levels.
- Lead a team to ensure Relay Medical operate in a way that meets Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), MHRA and GDP, legal requirements for both H&S and Transport.

About You
You must demonstrate the following skills and experience on your CV:
- Good understanding of operational pipeline and standards.
- Operational planning experience understanding of paragon outputs.
- Experience with working with local CWU rep.
- Transport & Health Safety compliance.
- Team leadership to include conduct & attendance management.
- Good PC skills including PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
- Operational experience with a good understanding of cash v quality and operating in a profit and loss environment.
- Some understanding of the medical market desired though full training provided to the right candidate.
