We’re recruiting an IMI Level 3 qualified mechanic at Coventry Workshop on a Permanent contract, with the potential to earn over £70,000 per annum including overtime.

Working Hours: Full time - 39. Rotating 3 week shift pattern; example rotation week 1: working between 06:00 - 14:30 Tuesday - Saturday, week 2: working between 13:00 - 21:30 Monday to Friday, week 3: working between 06:00 - 14:30 Sunday to Thursday. We also have a permanent Night shift available Monday to Friday.

Salary: £38,114 plus a shift allowance of £84.06 per week when working the 13:00 - 21:30 shift or £126.08 weekly shift allowance for the Night Shift.

  • Additional weekend supplement on Saturday (£50 per shift) and Sunday (£100 per shift) is applicable.

With a Fleet of over 49,000 vehicles, including traditional fuel and electric vehicles, LCVs and HGVs, maintaining our vehicles is a true team effort. We’re investing in modernising our fleet, giving you the opportunity to work on a variety of makes and models. You’ll perform a full range of inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair procedures on a range of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment.

  • Qualified mechanic: you’re fully qualified to an advanced level (IMI Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent). Proven Vehicle Technician experience working on a wide range of vehicles, for example LCV / HGV.
  • Valid UK driving license: You hold a full manual UK driving licence, preferably an HGV licence with trailer experience for Heavy technicians.
  • Flexible to service demands: you’re able to work on a flexible shift rota. You’re always willing to support your team where necessary.
