Location: Royal Mail, Belfast, Newtownabbey, BT36 4HQ

Job type: Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week, working 4 days on 4 days off including weekends on a 9-week rotation. Attendance times between 18.30 and 06.15 with scheduled overtime to meet deadlines.

In order for Royal Mail to run an efficient operation, the Administrator would be expected to carry out the following tasks:

  • Ensure that the Distribution Management System is kept up to date and data correctly input daily; all drivers are debriefed at the end of their duty.
  • Download data from vehicles.
  • Ensure Isotrak, Business Asset Tracker and Vision FTA, the system we use to record our HGV drivers hours is kept up to date and data correctly input daily in order to ensure that we comply with European Legislation.
  • Issue vehicle keys and logbooks in line with Royal Mail standards.
  • Ensure digital tacho cards are downloaded in line with Royal Mail policy.
  • Daily debrief to be carried out with all drivers; any unresolved issues to be passed onto shift manager.
  • Ensure planned maintenance is carried out for vehicles and that the maintenance board and vehicle files are kept up to date.
  • Cover additional admin duties as and when required.
