Job reference 329675 – New Business Sales Executive

Starting salary – £34,656, annual bonus potential with 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays and a company pension scheme with highly competitive contribution rates. Permanent, full time.

Location: Royal Mail Peterborough Mail Centre at Papyrus Road, Peterborough, PE4 5PE. This is a Hybrid Working role with a requirement to attend our office in Peterborough a minimum of 3 days per week (Monday – Wednesday), with flexibility required in line with business needs.

About the role

  • Delivering against new business sales targets.
  • Executing sales campaigns and build a strong, sustainable sales pipeline.
  • Driving effective call rates, conversions, and high-quality CRM data.
  • Proactively reach out to potential customers through cold calling and outbound engagement – you are not afraid to pick up the phone and start a conversation.
  • Collaborating with your territory partner to act fast on leads and maximise every opportunity.
  • Ensuring accurate deal recording for rewards and recognition.

About You

  • A confident communicator with excellent negotiating skills who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • A commercially savvy mindset, with the ability to create, identify and close opportunities.
  • Self-discipline, strong organisation, and a passion for performance.
  • First-class telephone sales skills and a data-driven approach.
  • Someone who is comfortable with cold calling and sees it as a powerful tool to open doors.
  • Experience in sales or a call centre environment would be an advantage.
  • Experience using CRM systems would be an advantage.
