Royal Mail are now recruiting for drivers in Norwich Mail Centre, Norwich, NR1 1AA. Job Reference Number 330406.

About the Role

As a member of our driving team, you will be the public face of Royal Mail and an established part of the community. Much of your day will be spent driving, collecting bulk mail from major customers and Post Offices, and transporting mail between our Mail Centres and Delivery offices at prearranged times. Part of the role will be loading and unloading your van and sorting it into the correct onward distribution.

About You

Upbeat and self-motivated, you’ll be happy working alone as well as part of a team and getting to know the different people on your round. You should enjoy the outdoors in all weather and be willing to walk on every round to help stay active. Some experience in a customer-facing role would be ideal.

Driving Licence Requirements

A C1 Category licence (in your current UK address) with no more than 6 penalty points is essential; ideally a clean licence is preferred. You will be required to show this at assessment. You must have obtained your Periodic Driver Certificate of Professional Competence qualification (CPC) and hold a valid Drivers Qualification Card (DQC) with 35 hours training to be eligible to apply. You will need to present your Digital Tachograph Card if selected for assessment.

Pay and Benefits

You will be paid weekly, plus overtime and shift allowance if applicable.

Salary: £602.60 per week pro rata

Hours of work: We are looking to offer permanent contracts, working full-time 38 hours per week across various shifts.
