Late / Night / Weekend Night Work Area Manager

Salary starting at £39,069, 10% bonus potential, 25 days annual leave, defined contributions pension scheme, and a potential shift allowance of up to £879.73 per month pro rata.

Full time – Permanent.

Romford Mail Centre, Sandgate Close, Romford, RM7 0AB.

What does the role involve?

  • Lead a dedicated team of full- and part-time employees overseeing up to 40 duties.
  • Hold regular one-to-one and team meetings and review the area’s performance and plans daily.
  • Champion health and safety initiatives, increase efficiency, and identify areas of improvement.
  • Support the Shift Manager by providing a high quality of service to customers and ensuring all operational targets are met.
  • Manage line responsibilities including the team’s sick absence, attendance, training, and development.
  • Participate in our programme of continuous improvement.

Shift patterns

  • Lates – 13:48‑22:00 Monday to Friday.
  • Nights – 23:00‑07:12 Monday to Friday.
  • Night Weekends – 21:30‑06:00 Tuesday to Wednesday and 18:00‑06:00 Saturday to Sunday.

Shift Allowance:

  • Lates – £464.27 per month pro rata.
  • Nights – £879.73 per month pro rata.
  • Weekend Nights – £879.73 per month pro rata plus £11.46 per hour Sunday Premium.

Flexibility will be required for training and to meet the needs of the unit and business.
