Royal Mail is recruiting MGV drivers at Inverness Mail Centre, Inverness, IV1 1SG. This is a full‑time permanent contract, 38 hours a week, covering all shifts from Monday to Sunday. The role is reserve, requiring full flexibility to cover sickness and holiday shifts.

About the Role

As a member of our driving team, you will be the public face of Royal Mail and an established part of the community. Much of your day will be spent driving, collecting bulk mail from major customers, post offices and transporting mail between our mail centres and delivery offices at pre‑arranged times. You will also load and unload the van and sort mail for onward distribution.

About You

You are upbeat and self‑motivated, comfortable working alone or as part of a team, and keen to help a variety of customers. You enjoy flexible shift patterns and working outdoors. Experience in a customer‑facing role is desirable.

Driving Licence Requirements

A C1 category licence (in your current UK address) with fewer than six penalty points is essential. You must hold a valid DQC with 35 hours of training, and a CPC and valid Digital Tachograph Card. You will be required to present these at assessment.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: £627.91 per week pro rata. Hours of work: 38 hours per week, covering a 24‑hour period across Monday to Sunday. This is a reserve role so full flexibility will be needed, including covering sickness and holiday shifts.
