The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.

Competitive salary plus £5500 car allowance or £5000 as cash via payroll each month (£416.67), healthcare, 18% annual bonus potential, 27.5 days annual leave plus bank holidays rising with service and a company pension scheme with highly competitive contribution rates.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Royal Mail as the Head of Export Consumer Channels. In this position you'll lead the strategic transformation of the consumer export profit center, accounting for approximately £300m in revenue and £140m in gross profit. This channel is pivotal to the RM turnaround plan. Your role is to optimise access for e-commerce platforms to utilise RM export capabilities efficiently. Stay agile in meeting evolving consumer and small business needs by consistently enhancing online services.

About the role

  • Be directly accountable for the profitability of this newly created Consumer Channel profit centre.
  • Develop and execute strategies to maximise revenue, control costs, and drive overall financial success.
  • Responsible for the International Export consumer tariff pricing strategy across all sales channels, ad hoc pricing changes and corresponding reporting on effects.
  • The international consumer strategy is different to the domestic strategy in that POL remains a vitally important and growing channel.
  • Combat the new threats in POL as a result of DPD and Evri launching their new international offers in POL.
  • Develop and execute a strategy to effectively improve the missing/incomplete data issue for export items exported from POL.
  • Lead negotiations on POL commercials from an International perspective.
  • Own all elements of Export Out of Home strategy and ensure widest and most appropriate take up of new and in development offerings.

About you

To excel in this position, you'll possess the following skills and experience:

  • (Preferred) Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, digital marketing, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certifications in digital marketing would be advantageous.
  • Proven experience in senior leadership roles within marketing, sales, digital marketing, e-commerce, or related fields.
  • Strong background in dealing with marketplaces and optimising online channels for growth.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining strategic partnerships.
  • Demonstrated success in executing agile digital marketing campaigns and adapting strategies quickly to meet changing market conditions.
  • Proven leadership experience in international logistics and customs management experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior role.
  • Proven track record of channel management including delivery of initiatives to drive profitable growth across multiple channels simultaneously.
