Our Engineering vision is blossoming with the establishment of an in‑house engineering design team focussed on innovation; transforming operational processes to improve the pace and quality we provide for customers as well as help us to achieve the business net ZERO strategy. With some exciting improvements deployed and more underway, the demand is growing for us to scale up across the business.
About the role:
- You will work actively as part of the Design Engineering team, striving to modernise and improve existing processes whilst driving new and innovative solutions into our current ways of working to improve business performance.
- You will identify future opportunities to drive in‑house manufacturing capability to deliver key elements of engineering design projects.
- You will champion new processes to drive in‑house capability, innovation and people development within engineering.
- You will work closely with maintenance teams to drive reliability into existing automation fleet.
- You will promote the business culture: Be Positive, Be Brilliant, Be Part of It and drive professionalism, positivity and engagement within all areas of RM Engineering.
About you:
- A minimum of a level 4 (NVQ or equivalent) qualification in an electrical engineering discipline.
- Experience in detailed product design and development within an automated environment.
- A strong engineering background with proven ability to demonstrate intuitive thinking towards engineering problem solving and solution delivery.
- Strong knowledge and experience of using CAD/CAM software and design packages (e.g. Autodesk).
- A proven track record of hitting product development deadlines and quality parameter targets.
- A proven track record of successfully delivering improvements and initiatives in a challenging environment.
Salary and Package: Competitive salary plus £4,200 car allowance, private healthcare, bonus, 27.5 day annual leave days.
