£12.71 per hour, 22.5 days annual plus bank holidays, on site parking. Part time, 20 hours per week, 08.30 - 12.30. Permanent position at Glasgow Mail Centre, St Rollox Business Park, G21 1AA.

Glasgow Mail Centre has a vacancy for a Receptionist / Administrator to deliver a professionally managed visitor experience and provide essential administrative support.

The role:

  • Greet and manage all visitors, ensuring a warm and professional welcome.
  • Operate and manage the telephone system, maintain local telephone directories and signing-in procedures.
  • Perform general administrative tasks including fault reporting, room bookings and conference arrangements.
  • Control access to the site, including gate control and manage security passes.
  • Act as a key contact point for customer liaison and fault reporting.

Attendance: 08.30 – 12.30 Monday to Friday. A degree of flexibility is needed as during periods of sick/annual leave you will be required to cover the afternoon reception duties until 16.30.

Skills and experience required:

  • Previous receptionist, admin and customer-facing experience.
  • First aid trained/SIA licence or a willingness to undertake training.
  • Experienced in MS Office and email systems.
  • Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills.
  • Flexibility with attendance and able to cover the afternoon reception duties until 16.30 during annual leave periods (5 weeks per year).
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills.

Glasgow Mail Centre has free on site parking and good public transport links (Barnhill train station approx 5 minutes walk).
