We have a Collection & Delivery Manager vacancy at the Medway Local Depot in which you will be responsible for leading a team, being accountable for health and safety, and operational quality, cost and people KPIs.
About the role:
- As a line manager to a team of delivery and collection drivers, self-employed owner drivers, as well as warehouse staff, you will achieve maximum efficiency through resource and contingency planning, driving quality of service and maximising productivity.
- Working to tight timescales, you will drive the depot to achieve the highest possible customer service satisfaction levels whilst ensuring a swift resolution to all customer enquiries and complaints.
- You’ll be responsible for ensuring the performance of your unit, effectively maintaining the quality of service for our customers and the overall safety of the people you manage whilst working closely with the local sales team to increase revenue opportunities and highlight any network conformance issues.
- Attendance - early shift, approx 06:00 - 14:00 Monday to Friday with a degree of flexibility.
About you:
- From an express parcels background with some experience of working in a unionised environment.
- Managing and supporting a large team to maximise performance, service and achieving KPIs.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate team members to work to high standards.
- Experience of introducing improvements and successfully guiding people through significant periods of change.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with your team, unions and key stakeholders.
- Experience of managing resources and budgets.
