We are now recruiting for a Fabric Technician covering the North East of England.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary: £32,774.12 per annum.
- Annual leave: 22.5 days, rising to 25 days with five years of service plus bank holidays.
- Contract: Permanent, full time.
- Typical attendance: 08:00‑16:00 Monday to Friday.
- Coverage Area Postcodes: NE (Newcastle), SR (Sunderland), DH (Durham), DL (Darlington), TS (Teeside).
Additional Duties
- Possible future requirement to join out‑of‑hours callout rota.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact with end users or main customers, working closely with Building Engineering Technicians, Asset Technicians, and the Area Maintenance Manager.
- Provide Building Fabric industry knowledge, ensure first‑class service, keep premises secure and safe, solve fabric‑related problems, and ensure compliance with health and safety policies.
Qualifications
- Computer literate with proficiency in electronic management systems and email.
- Effective communication skills, active listening, and ability to convey key messages at all levels.
- Sound knowledge and practical experience of carpentry and wet trades.
- Good knowledge of Building Fabric products.
- Full UK manual driving licence with no more than six penalty points.
