Engineering Apprenticeship
Location: GLOUCESTER, GL4 3AA
Upcoming start dates: 1st September 2025
Starting salary: £14,368 - £22,860 (age dependant)
Working hours: Up to 40 hours per week
Why choose Royal Mail? If you enjoy teamwork, problem-solving, and have a practical flair, our Advanced Engineering Apprenticeship is perfect for you. Spend part of your first year at your local college, learning how to fix, maintain, and review our technology whilst achieving industry-recognised qualifications. Over the 3-4 year programme, you'll explore robotics, machine intelligence, and more, guided by senior mentors. Develop the skills to become an Automation Maintenance Technician and obtain your Level 3 Engineering Technician Apprenticeship.
What We’re Looking For: If you’re interested in how things work, have a logical way of working and want to learn and develop in a hands-on role, this scheme is for you. You don't need to be an expert engineer before you join, as we will support you all the way. What you do need is a natural curiosity and a strong work ethic. We’re looking for people who can work well as part of a team and are driven to find the answers to problems. You will be age 16+ and have 5 GCSEs (or predicted) at Grade 4/C or above including Maths, English & Science.
