The predicted salary is between 47322 - 47322 £ per year.

Starting salary £47,322 plus 10% annual bonus potential, 25 days annual leave (rising with years' service) plus bank holidays, and a company pension scheme with highly competitive contribution rates.

Location: London, Rugby or Sheffield (hybrid working - 3 days in the office). Travel: Regular travel between London and the Midlands Academy Hub. Full time, permanent.

That's why we're looking for a Digital Academy Manager to lead the development and delivery of our digital learning platforms and learning technologies across the business. This is a key role, combining strategic thinking with hands‑on leadership, where you'll help make learning more accessible, engaging and impactful for colleagues across Royal Mail Group.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead and develop a cross‑functional digital learning team, creating a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Shape and influence Royal Mail Group's digital learning strategy and budget, ensuring learning technology investments align with business and workforce transformation priorities.
  • Oversee the implementation, optimisation and ongoing improvement of digital learning platforms, including LMS and LXP systems, to enhance learner experience and performance outcomes.
  • Manage strategic partnerships with external content providers (such as LinkedIn Learning and getAbstract), ensuring content is relevant, curated and aligned to our capability frameworks.
  • Embed strong digital governance across learning platforms, ensuring compliance with data protection, cyber security and accessibility standards.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders at all levels, providing expert guidance on digital learning solutions that meet business needs.
  • Work collaboratively across teams and with suppliers to design and deliver scalable, user‑centred digital learning initiatives.
  • Integrate digital learning platforms with wider talent, performance and workforce systems to support skills insight, career development and organisational agility.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience shaping and delivering a digital learning strategy aligned to business needs.
  • Strong knowledge of learning platforms (LMS/LXP), including optimisation, integration and content management.
  • Experience using data and analytics to measure impact, track KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
  • Confidence managing suppliers, with the ability to influence wider investment decisions.
  • Excellent stakeholder and project management skills, able to work across functions and levels.
  • Awareness of UX/UI best practices to ensure seamless and inclusive learner journeys.
  • Experience working within digital governance and compliance frameworks.
