Position: Cyber Engineering Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Manager of Cyber Engineering is responsible for the development and management of the Cyber Security Engineering Team within Royal Mail across IT and all OT sites (~40); Security Platforms Operation, Security Tooling delivery across all technology-led projects, and future development of automation. This position engages with stakeholders across the business and technology up to the board. As a hands-on leader, this role is instrumental in defining the direction, delivery, and continuous enhancement of both proactive and reactive cyber protective technology. Central to this position is the management and development of a robust cyber security engineering strategy, integral to our business operations. The role is crucial in both maintaining current cyber security standards and strategically shaping future cyber security initiatives. This role is fundamental in ensuring the safety, security, and integrity of Royal Mail’s digital infrastructure, thereby playing a key role in the organisation’s overall success.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Create and lead a dynamic Cyber Security Engineering strategy, ensuring it aligns with the evolving needs and strategic direction of the business for optimal security posture.
- Manage and oversee comprehensive security solutions, both within the team and via suppliers. Maintain a dotted line reporting from multiple key suppliers provisioning cyber services.
