Do you want to join the largest fleet operator in the UK? If you are a vehicle technician seeking a fresh challenge, Royal Mail offers a Level 3 qualified role in a commercial vehicle environment. We are recruiting Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technicians for our brand-new workshop.

The annual salary is £60,624.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: £60,624 per annum
  • Defined workshop allowance: £15,450
  • Weekend allowance (1 in 3 weekends): £2,736
  • Late shift allowance: £1,532
  • Overtime paid at £27.79 per hour (£29.78 Bank Holiday)
  • Late shift attendance allowance: £90.21 per week (1 in 3 weeks)
  • Annual holiday: 22.5 days (plus bank holidays) with option to purchase more, and a company pension scheme.

Shift Pattern

  • Week 1: Monday – Friday, 06:00 – 14:30
  • Week 2: 3 days Monday – Friday, 09:30 – 18:00 (2 days off) + Sat & Sun 06:00 – 14:30
  • Week 3: Monday – Friday, 13:30 – 22:00
  • Work Saturdays and Sundays 1 in 3 (with two days off), weekend supplement: Saturday £52.10, Sunday £104.20.

The Role

You will perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair procedures on vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment. You will use your personal toolkit for routine maintenance and repair of light and heavy goods vehicles and have access to specialist tooling.

A Bit About You

  • Fully qualified Level 3 mechanic (Heavy vehicle or equivalent).
  • Proven experience with LCV and HGV.
  • Full manual UK driving licence (C+E preferred).
  • High work standards and pride in workmanship.
  • Flexible to service demands and willing to support team.

Initial work location will be the Crick/Coventry workshop; it will move into the Midlands Super Hub by late 2026.
