During a period of exciting growth and development Royal Mail Group, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to join us in a newly created role.
You will help to increase our share of the eCommerce market, win new and complex opportunities, and build a strong pipeline of business prospects. You will be a key player in developing relationships with decision-makers in major companies, influencing domestic and international business growth. You will work remotely covering a defined patch including Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, and Buckinghamshire. Due to the nature of the role and need to visit clients, we would expect you to live on or near patch.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with industry leaders and key stakeholders to drive revenue growth
- Leverage your eCommerce expertise to identify market trends and develop innovative solutions that enhance our parcel service offerings
- Provide consultancy expertise to understand client needs, offering tailored solutions that maximise revenue opportunities
- Collaborate with regional sales teams and stakeholders to develop sector-specific sales strategies and improve customer relationships
- Drive new business opportunities, introduce innovative solutions, and position the company as a leader in the eCommerce space
- Maintain accurate records of sales to support incentive structures and ensure transparency in revenue reporting
Skills & Experience
- Experience in sales with a hunger to develop new business through data driven leads, networking, improving existing relationships and market intelligence
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage at all levels within large organisations
- A driven, commercial, innovative thinker with a challenger mindset
- Excellent written and presentation skills, capable of creating compelling business cases
- A results-driven approach with a focus on revenue generation and long-term business growth
- Experience in the parcels market or similar would be beneficial

- A base salary in the region of Β£50,000 β 58,000, dependent on experience
