Are you looking for stability and variety in your next move? Join the largest, and greenest, fleet operator in the UK and take on a new challenge in a commercial vehicle workshop environment. We’re recruiting a Level 3 qualified mechanic at Bristol Workshop on a Permanent contract, with the potential to earn up to £50‑60k including overtime.
Salary: £39,715 per annum plus a night shift allowance of £571.27 per month. A Saturday attendance supplement of £52.10 is paid every third week.
Working Hours: Full time – 39.5 hours per week (excluding meal breaks). The role operates on a rotating three‑week shift pattern:
- Week 1 – Monday to Thursday: 21:00‑06:00, Friday: 20:30‑midnight
- Week 2 – Monday to Thursday: 21:00‑06:00, Friday: 20:30‑midnight
- Week 3 – Monday to Thursday: 21:30‑06:00, Friday: 22:30‑06:00 (finishing Saturday morning)
Working hours may change over time as operational needs develop, so we’re looking for someone who can be flexible when required.

With a fleet of over 49,000 vehicles, including traditional fuel and electric vehicles, LCVs and HGVs, maintaining our fleet is a true team effort. Perform a full range of inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repair procedures on a range of vehicles, trailers and mechanical equipment. Use your own personal toolkit to undertake routine maintenance and repair on light and heavy‑goods vehicles. Access specialist tooling and shared equipment in our modern, fully equipped workshops.
A bit about you:
- Qualified mechanic: fully qualified to an advanced level (IMI Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent) with your own toolkit for standard repairs
- Varied vehicle experience: proven vehicle technician experience working on a wide range of vehicles, e.g., HGV
- Valid UK driving licence: full manual UK driving licence, preferably an HGV licence with trailer experience
- High working standards: pride in your work and commitment to effective job completion
- Flexible to service demands: able to work on a flexible shift rota and support your team when necessary
