Location: Bristol Mail Centre, Gloucester Road N, Filton, Patchway, Bristol, BS34 7ST (involving travel between the following postcode areas - BS, GL, OX, SN)

Salary: £15,199 - £22,591 (depending on age)

Hours/Shifts: 37.5 hours per week - shifts will be aligned to a mentor when starting

Duration: 3 - 4 years

Qualification: Installation and Maintenance Electrician - Level 3

What You'll Do

  • As an Installation & Maintenance Electrician Apprentice, you will help keep buildings safe and powered.
  • You will learn how to:
    • Install electrical systems
    • Fix and maintain equipment
    • Test electrical systems to make sure they are safe
    • Repair faults when things go wrong
    • Follow important safety rules
  • You will work with trained electricians who will guide you every step of the way.

Learn While You Work

  • This is an apprenticeship, so you will:
    • Learn on the job every day
    • Take part in training and study
    • Complete your coursework and assessments
  • As you improve, you will be trusted to do more tasks on your own.

What We're Looking For

  • GCSE Maths and English Language at Level 4 (or the ability to achieve this during the apprenticeship)
  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs in total (Grade 4/C or above), ideally including a Science (defined as Physics, Biology, Chemistry or combined Science) or Technical subject (or equivalent)
  • A Full UK Driving Licence (this is important as the apprenticeship will involve travelling to various sites)
