Hours: 40 hours per week, working Monday - Friday across the following shift times: 08:00hrs - 16.30hrs

For Royal Mail to run an efficient operation we are looking for an Administrator to join our Yorkshire Parcel Hub to provide vital administration support to strengthen the unit performance.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter pay, subsistence, and shift allowances into the People System Portal or Resource Control System.
  • Oversee agency staff processes, including signing on sheets, overtime, and leave management.
  • Produce and maintain the monthly rota, annual leave records, and pay files.
  • Maintain secure and confidential records of local personnel documentation.
  • Provide support to employees and managers with local HR related enquiries.
  • Perform duties as directed by the Head of Distribution.
  • Process and verify accurate payment of overtime, shift allowances, and claims for all YDC driving staff.
  • Record employee absences and attendance data.
  • Ensure accurate management and administration of annual leave, TOIL, and sickness requests.
  • Complete, maintain, and submit weekly reports for the national finance team.

A bit about you

  • Strong motivation and determination to ensure accuracy in all information supplied.
  • High attention to detail, particularly when processing payroll for 200+ drivers.
  • IT literate and proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; comfortable with high volumes of PC based work.
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritise workload effectively, handling multiple ongoing and sometimes complex issues.
  • Sense of responsibility and accountability when working independently; confident decision making skills when required.
  • Ability to contribute to team success by sharing and receiving information to support task completion.

  • Paid overtime, with an enhanced rate of x1.25 for more than 40 hours a week.
