We have a fantastic opportunity to join Royal London’s Commercial team to protect and develop Royal London’s mutually valued relationships in the UK financial advice market. This role is key to delivering the Distribution strategy, with a particular focus on broadening and deepening our reach across our DC Workplace Pensions adviser channel, ensuring Royal London is recognised as having a market-leading propositions.
You will inspire, coach, and lead a team of Business Development Directors who jointly have responsibility for developing relationships with a panel of specialist advisers. You will be responsible for planning, developing and executing strategies to develop long lasting relationships, through the distribution of our Workplace Savings proposition.
About the role
- Ownership of revenue generation and growth ensuring the financial performance targets are delivered for the area.
- Work with proposition and marketing to develop and implement take to market strategies.
- Support winning new mandates and opportunities by attending key pitches and adviser meetings.
- Identify ways for the regional distribution teams to achieve growth by identifying new emerging opportunities and initiatives.
- Enhance Royal London’s relationships in the UK financial advice market.
- Promote new business sales ideas and deepen existing relationships.
About you
- Deep understanding of the Workplace pensions sector.
- Experience leading a high-performing Business Development team.
- Proven ability to lead strategic discussions and to focus on the key challenges facing the business
- Strong negotiation and commercial awareness.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Proven track record of leading remote teams.
