Are you a data-driven consultant ready to make a deeper impact? We currently have an opportunity for a Data and AI Strategist to join the RLAM Data team on a permanent basis in London. This is a high-visibility role where your strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and AI expertise will shape the future of data at RLAM. This is a unique opportunity to move from advisory into ownership—leading real-world transformation in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment. As a key member of our growing data team, you’ll work directly with senior stakeholders to design and deliver AI-enabled solutions that align with RLAM’s strategic goals. You’ll also help shape our operating model, build internal capability, and contribute to a culture of innovation and ethical AI. You’ll report to the Head of Data Transformation and collaborate with a talented team of data strategists, scientists, and analysts, as well as our AI Innovation Squad.
About the role
- Strategic Leadership & Transformation: Shape RLAM’s AI roadmap and identify high-impact opportunities. Co-develop our Data Skills Academy and data literacy initiatives. Help design the next-gen data operating model and Centre of Excellence.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Use Case Delivery: Partner with business leaders to understand needs and co-create solutions. Lead workshops, drive adoption, and support upskilling across teams.
- AI & GenAI Development: Guide the development and evaluation of AI/ML models, including GenAI. Contribute to the evolution of our in-house research agent (r.AI).
- Ethics & Innovation: Champion responsible AI practices and support EU AI Act readiness. Stay ahead of trends in GenAI, LLMs, and data innovation.
About you
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as data science, computer science, statistics, or a related field.
- Experience in a data strategy role from a consulting background.
- Hands-on experience with tools like SQL, Python, Power BI, and Azure AI.
- Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
- Experience in working with Agile squads directly or in a matrix model.
- Familiarity with data governance and ethical AI principles.
- A collaborative, curious, and delivery-focused approach.
