Job Summary:
Royal London has an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Advisory Consultant to join Group Risk & Compliance.
Group Risk & Compliance drives open and honest conversation across our business to secure the best outcomes and experiences for our customers and members. Our Compliance Advisory Team delivers a key component by providing expert advice, guidance, and proactive challenge across our UK business.
About the Role:
- Support the Head of Compliance with the performance and delivery of the team’s responsibilities, providing effective 2nd line oversight and proactive guidance to the UK Business.
- Provide input into the regulatory risk universe to ensure that key regulatory risks are appropriately reflected.
- Build effective relationships with colleagues and line management at all levels within the UK Business to support identifying matters which could impact on the quality of compliance. Provide updates on key regulatory developments.
- Provide input into reports made by the Head of Compliance Advisory to senior business management and governance forums.
About You:
- Experience in a regulatory role is essential
- Experience in a 2nd line role would be desirable.
- Financial Services industry experience, ideally in Life Insurance or Pensions.
- Graduate or professionally qualified e.g., FPC, MLIA, Col would be desirable.
- Knowledge of Financial Conduct Authority regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Organised with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Influencer with the ability to build strong relationships.
