We are currently looking to appoint a Communications Development Manager to shape, develop, and deliver the Royal London Group’s stewardship and sustainability reporting and communications activity. This hybrid role is suitable for candidates able to work from either our London or Edinburgh office, with openness to applications from other UK locations.
Reporting to the Senior Communications Development Manager and working within a fast-paced environment as part of our supportive External Communications team, the role will lead in delivering clear, compelling, and engaging communications. The focus will be on showcasing how our Group contributes to a fair transition to a sustainable world.
About the role- Lead the drafting, editing, and coordination of stewardship and climate reporting for the Group and its subsidiaries, including TCFD Report, Stewardship Reports, Climate Transition Plan, and content for the Annual Report and Accounts.
- Research best practices in sustainability and stewardship communications, adapting strategies for different target markets, and contribute ideas to evolve the communications approach.
- Act as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders, supporting the delivery, management, design, and measurement of communication activities.
- Manage third-party suppliers, ensuring alignment with Group Procurement policies and budgets, and achieve cost efficiencies.
- Ensure the Group’s sustainability and stewardship messages are engaging, reflect our values, and are consistently communicated across online and print channels.
- Support the Senior Communications Development Manager in empowering colleagues to improve their writing skills, focusing on tone, structure, and consistency.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business priorities, identify opportunities, and enhance communication quality and consistency.
- Contribute to building, managing, and protecting the company’s reputation.
- Passionate about sustainability and ESG importance in our industry.
- Strong editorial, proofreading, and writing skills.
- Experience in writing on complex topics for diverse audiences, both in print and online.
