We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Financial Accountant (Investments) to join our team at Alderley Park. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic business unit where you will work on various projects and add significant value.
About the role
The role is within the Investment Accounting team within Group Finance, which is responsible for accounting and valuation assurance over the investment assets of Royal London. The role will involve:
Responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports in respect of the investment portfolio of assets
- Supporting the month-end and year-end close processes
- Conducting investment data analysis and providing insights
- Providing support for the implementation of investment projects
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Collaborating with different departments to gather financial data
- Participating in audits and implementing audit recommendations
Qualifications
- Qualified / Part Qualified Accountant or alternatively with strong investment product or accounting knowledge and willing to study for a professional accountancy qualification
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A willingness to learn and develop your accounting skills
