Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Governance Analyst to join the COO Business Operations team at Royal London. You will work with the members of the COO Business Operations team in helping senior stakeholders across COO fulfil their governance obligations. By providing comprehensive level of co-ordination and support, you will play an important role in enabling effective decision making within the COO Function.

About the role

As a key member of our COO Business Operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and well-structured governance support across COO, with a focus on creating efficiencies and optimising processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinating and diarising COO operational and risk management meetings.
  • Support the preparation of agendas and maintain paper trackers, ensuring paper submission deadlines are met and stakeholder sign offs secured.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of the COO Annual Planner, proactively following up on the day-to-day activities to deliver that plan against the Business Operations team\’s objectives.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of governance processes and documentation standards, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency.
  • Understand and maintain action logs, communicating updates to stakeholders and ensuring actions are tracked through to timely completion.
  • Provide support in documenting COO governance structures and documenting MI flows, identifying opportunities to streamline and reuse where possible.
  • Act as a key point of contact for governance stakeholders across Royal London in support of a strong governance culture.
  • Work with business areas to support embedding of governance standards and processes.

About you:

  • Experience of working in a governance support role.
  • Experience working with senior leadership teams
  • Good knowledge of relevant governance processes
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance requirements

  • Good knowledge of business, procedures and organisation

  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and pro-active with a drive to improve and simplify processes
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Strong business report writing and presentation skill
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
