Job Title: Communications Development Manager

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract (11 months)

Location: London, Edinburgh, or Alderley Edge

Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

About the role

  1. Work with senior stakeholders to draft, edit, and coordinate stewardship and climate reporting for Royal London Group and its subsidiaries, including TCFD Report, Stewardship Reports, Climate Transition Plan, and related content for the Annual Report and Accounts.
  2. Understand best practices in sustainability and stewardship communications, tailoring strategies to target markets, and evolving communication approaches accordingly.
  3. Act as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders, supporting the delivery, management, design, and measurement of communication activities.
  4. Manage third-party suppliers to ensure alignment with Group Procurement policies and budgets, achieving cost efficiencies.
  5. Ensure sustainability and stewardship messages are engaging and reflect Royal London\’s values across various channels.
  6. Support the Senior Communications Development Manager in enhancing colleagues\’ writing skills, ensuring tone of voice, structure, and consistency.
  7. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business priorities and identify opportunities for added value.
  8. Contribute to building and protecting the company’s reputation.

About you

  1. Passionate about sustainability and ESG.
  2. Strong editorial, proofreading, and writing skills.
  3. Experience in communicating complex topics to diverse audiences, both in print and online.
  4. Proven track record in delivering and measuring communication initiatives.
  5. Experience in developing designed materials aligned with brand standards.
  6. Experience leading and supporting complex projects.
  7. Team player mindset.
