We are excited to announce an opportunity to join our team as a Claims Assessor to enhance our customer service and ensure quick and sensitive resolution of claims. If you have strong, proven experience in handling Income Protection claims, we’d love to hear from you.
About the role
- Assess claims and seek ways to pay them effectively to fulfill our customer commitment.
- Evaluate each claim independently, considering them on their own merits in line with our standards.
- Keep the customer updated throughout the claims process via their preferred communication method.
- Request only the necessary medical evidence to make effective decisions.
- Manage a customer claim from start to finish, providing friendly and efficient service.
- Coordinate with re-insurers on assessment decisions while maintaining professional relationships.
About you
- Current Claims Authority Limit across various Individual Protection Products, including Death, Critical Illness, Total & Permanent Disability, and Income Protection.
- Experience in Income Protection claims is essential due to current team demand.
- Understanding of the intermediary market and customer relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with empathy for customers.
- Proactive and curious mindset, capable of identifying and addressing inefficiencies.
- Ability to build relationships with customers primarily through phone communication.
- Team-oriented with respectful attitude towards colleagues.
