Our client is seeking an experienced Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with a minimum of 5 years' PQE to join its well‑established Agriculture & Rural Affairs team.

The Role
- Manage a diverse and interesting caseload while acting as a trusted adviser to a broad range of rural clients, including farmers, landed estates, rural businesses, landowners, and agricultural partnerships.
• Activities include
- Sales and acquisitions of farms, estates, and agricultural land.
- Agricultural and rural property transactions.
- Farm business tenancies and Agricultural Holdings Act matters.
- Easements, rights of way, and boundary disputes.
- Renewable energy projects, including solar, battery storage, and wind developments.
- Strategic land and development agreements.
- Rural diversification projects.
- Agricultural partnership agreements and succession planning.
- Landlord and tenant matters.
- Working closely with colleagues across Private Client, Commercial Property, and Corporate teams to provide a seamless service to clients.
- Developing and maintaining long‑standing client relationships through networking and business development activities.
About You
The successful candidate will have
- A minimum of 5 years' PQE as a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive.
- Previous experience advising on agricultural and rural affairs matters.
- Strong technical knowledge with a commercial and pragmatic approach.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
- The ability to manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision.
- A genuine interest in the rural sector and the challenges faced by farming and landowning clients.
- A proactive attitude and enthusiasm for contributing to the continued success of the department.
