About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised and experienced Project Manager to join the team working on RIBA’s House of Architecture Programme.
The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in realising RIBA’s bold vision to create a new, purpose-built home for the world-class RIBA Collection. Acting on behalf of the Lead Sponsor, this role will manage the development of a collections centre from concept to delivery – ensuring it meets user needs, achieves strategic goals, and embodies RIBA’s commitment to sustainability, access, and design excellence.
What are we looking for?
Essential
- Applied knowledge of architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
- Significant experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams of consultants with the ability to influence and motivate.
- Knowledge of budget management, financial tracking and cost control experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Desirable
- Experience and successful track record in managing and delivering cross- organisational projects.
- Knowledge of current best practice in relation to collection display and storage.
- Significant experience of project management on a high-profile capital development project.
- Proficiency in project management tools for scheduling, budgeting, and document management.
- Experience in the museum/heritage sector.
