The role
We are seeking a highly organised and professional Administrator to join our team at our Port of Blyth facility.
This is a full-time position offering a varied and rewarding role, combining reception duties with comprehensive administrative support for our Construction team.
As the first point of contact for visitors, clients and colleagues, you will be the welcoming face of the Port of Blyth team, ensuring a professional reception service and the smooth day-to-day operation of the office facilities.
You will play a pivotal role in supporting construction administration activities, maintaining accurate records, coordinating documentation and helping to ensure efficient business operations across the site.
Working closely with Facilities & Logistics Manager, you will take ownership of a wide range of administrative responsibilities, contributing to the successful delivery of projects and the effective running of our Port of Blyth operations.
The successful candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administration support for onsite staff as required as instructed by the Facilities & Logistics Manager β including approval of PO's & Requisitions, Compliance and Training and Calibration registers
- Telephone operator and general reception duties when required
- Assist Construction & Commissioning teams with admin tasks including recording, scanning, filing of works orders and completed documentation and general tasks
- Meet & greet clients, visitors and customers at reception ensuring all visitors including IHC visitors complete either a visitors or full HSE induction
- Managing and co-ordination of internal/external meetings, bookings and refreshment provision
- Provide holiday cover to book training, travel and any compliance appointments at Port of Blyth and Grey Street
- Manage car park pass and FOB system for access to the facility
- Liaise with local trades and services as required for minor repairs and overhead suppliers
