Are you excited about engaging people with plants, gardens and heritage? Do you believe in the potential of gardens, gardening and collections to inspire and spark curiosity? If so, this is an exciting opportunity to join the RHS to lead the Public Programming team at RHS Garden Rosemoor.
In this role, you will play a key role in engaging audiences at RHS Rosemoor with RHS content, such as plants, gardens, gardening and growing, in ways that are exciting and inspiring, and that attract audiences to the garden.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation, planning and operational delivery of Public Programming activities at the garden, including family activities and plant events and festivals.
- Lead and motivate Rosemoor’s Public Programming team to deliver planned programming and events for 2026 and plan our programme of events for 2027.
- Have a track record of creating and delivering content-focused programming and experiences within gardens, museums, arts, attractions or other similar settings.
- Be passionate about engaging non-specialist audiences with specialist topics and content, and understand the needs and motivations of different audiences.
- Be an experienced people manager who enjoys inspiring and motivating creative teams.
- Have excellent people skills with the ability to build strong working relationships.
- Be experienced in planning and monitoring budgets.
- Have outstanding organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Have a good understanding of Health and Safety legislation in respect of public events and programming.
- Ideally also have a passion for plants, growing and gardening.
This role is based on site at Rosemoor because of the site-focused nature of the role’s work, although some home-working days will be possible.
