Overview
Are you an experienced arboricultural professional with the leadership skills, technical expertise, and operational focus to guide a dedicated team within a nationally important garden?
RHS Garden Rosemoor is seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Team Leader to run the day-to-day management, maintenance, and development of the garden’s treescape during an important phase of its long-term growth.
In this role, you will provide clear direction, supervision, and support to the team, ensuring work is planned, prioritised, and delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high professional standard.
You will take a leading role in the sustainable stewardship of the garden’s tree collection for future generations; covering the garden’s extensive tree collection over 45 acres and the 120-acre woodland estate.
The section is also responsible for the machinery fleet, garden irrigation, and helping to further develop and improve the garden with various related projects.
Responsibilities
- Provide clear direction, supervision, and support to the team; ensure work is planned, prioritised, and delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high professional standard.
- Lead the day-to-day management, maintenance, and development of the garden’s treescape, applying sound arboricultural judgement.
- Take a leading role in the sustainable stewardship of the tree collection across 45 acres of garden and 120 acres of woodland estate.
- Oversee the machinery fleet and garden irrigation, and contribute to related improvement projects.
