Join our Venues & Events team and help lead a vibrant, multi-purpose Students' Union venue that transforms from a daytime student space into a high-volume late-night entertainment venue. Supporting everything from club nights and live events to private hire and student activities, you'll play a key role in leading staff, driving commercial performance, delivering exceptional customer experiences and ensuring safe, compliant operations.

This role puts you right at the heart of keeping the venue running smoothly, training and developing the team, staying on top of stock and staffing, and making sure every customer gets great service in a safe, welcoming space. It's a mix of hands-on daily operations and bigger-picture thinking, with a real chance to help bring the Union's strategic and commercial goals to life.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Grade and salary range: Grade 4, £29,710 - £33,164. Salary is subject to RHSU’s Pay & Reward Policy.

Hours of Work: This role is based on an annualised hours model of 1,820 hours per year, averaging 35 hours per week across the year. During term time, employees are expected to work approximately 42.5 hours per week (40 working hours excluding unpaid breaks). During out-of-term periods, hours reduce to approximately 24 hours per week. The role requires flexibility, including evening, weekend and occasional off-site working to meet operational requirements.
