b Overview /b p As Health, Safety Wellbeing Lead you will embed a proactive, people‑centred HS W culture across the Water Maritime business line. You will partner with leaders and project teams to integrate HS W into delivery, governance and performance, driving safer and more sustainable outcomes globally. You will influence across functions and geographies, turning requirements into practical improvements and building leadership ownership. This role sits within a technical delivery team focused on consistent, high‑quality safety outcomes and continuous improvement. You’ll be at the heart of shaping how safety and wellbeing are woven into project delivery and culture. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li competitive base salary /li li flexible work arrangements /li li development opportunities and tailored learning /li li informal inclusive culture /li li social and sports activities /li li employee networks (Pride, Young Haskoning) /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Oversee HS W policies, procedures and risk management within projects and offices /li li Support hazard identification, risk assessments, and safe work methods for project teams /li li Provide SME support for complex field, environmental, and construction activities /li li Capture, share and embed lessons learned and best practices /li li Drive consistent HS W standards across regions and align with a common delivery approach /li li Promote safe design and early elimination or reduction of risks /li li Support implementation of internal health safety standards and regulatory requirements across geographies /li li Lead or support incident investigations with root‑cause analysis and corrective actions /li li Track and report HS W performance metrics and risk indicators /li li Prepare governance updates for leadership and global HS W committees /li li Ensure HS W performance is linked to project performance and continuous improvement /li li Act as primary HS W partner for the business line and coordinate with global/ regional teams /li li Coordinate communications, learning and improvement initiatives in HS W /li li Embed HS W into the broader technical delivery agenda with the Technical Director /li li Promote wellbeing, psychological safety and integration of health considerations into planning /li li Facilitate HS W training and coaching for leaders and site teams /li li Enhance safety leadership and wellbeing competence, including onboarding processes /li li Help ensure HS W is proactively integrated into project delivery, not a separate activity /li li Support leaders in creating ownership of HS W and a proactive learning culture /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field /li li Proven experience embedding HS W within engineering, environmental consulting, infrastructure, project delivery, design or construction environments /li li Strong knowledge of health safety regulations and best practices across multiple jurisdictions /li li Proven ability to influence leaders and project teams and drive cultural change /li li Experience supporting field-based or construction activities /li li Strong incident investigation, root cause analysis, risk management and organisational learning capabilities /li li Knowledge of wellbeing frameworks, including psychological safety /li /ul ul li Strong communication and influencing skills /li li Coaching and facilitation abilities /li li Cultural awareness and adaptability /li li HS W policy implementation /li li Risk assessment and method statement development /li li Incident investigation and root cause analysis /li /ul
