We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and within their own homes. Duties
- Assist service users with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility, ensuring their comfort and dignity are maintained.
- Support individuals with their personal care routines in accordance with care plans.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring nutritional requirements are met.
- Administer medication as directed and record all relevant information accurately.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to service users, fostering positive relationships.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, adhering to organisational policies and procedures.
- Support with light domestic tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and organising personal spaces.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
- Assist with transportation needs, including driving service users to appointments or activities when required.
Skills
- Valid driving licence and experience in home care or care home settings is desirable.
- Knowledge of care plans and the ability to implement personalised support strategies effectively.
