Work at the heart of the Council’s democratic and political centre. In the Green Group Leader’s Office, as part of the Council’s Legal and Democratic Services team, you will provide professional, organisational and advisory support to the Green Party Group in line with the Green Party's core values. This wide‑range role involves detailed research, analysis, briefings and written reports to the Opposition Leader and other elected members of the Party.
The role requires flexibility to meet priorities and deadlines, including attending evening meetings and working outside normal office hours as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Knowledge of the political landscape and experience providing expert advice
- Strong research, analytical and written reporting skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate effective communication and influence a wide range of stakeholders
- Ability to work on own initiative, under pressure, and manage sensitive situations and conflict
- Alignment with the Council’s values and commitment to delivering for the borough and its residents
