The Sports Centre Manager will oversee the operation, development, and commercial success of the RGS sports facilities. This role requires a commitment to high standards of health and safety, customer service, and facility maintenance across all areas, including the climbing wall, swimming pool, sports hall, fitness studios, Astroturf, grass pitches, and any future development.
Responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day operations of the sports centre and ensure health and safety compliance.
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain facilities to the highest standards.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to maximising commercial profit from non‑school activities.
- Plan and support future facility development initiatives.
Qualifications
- Experience managing a leisure or sports facility.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
- Flexible and proactive approach to a varied role.
Hours & Salary
The normal working hours are 40 hours per week, including Saturdays and some Sundays. Hours generally vary between 7:00 am and 10:00 pm. Salary is in the range of £28,000 – £30,000 gross per annum, commensurate with experience.
