The predicted salary is between 28800 - 48000 £ per year.
Permanent; 0.6FTE - full time; from September 2026. As a Teacher of English at the RGS, you will be teaching our high achieving students at GCSE and A-level. We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and those new to the profession and are happy to consider full time or part time hours.
RGS Guildford recently announced its plan to become co-educational; girls will be welcomed into the RGS with a phased entry starting in September 2027. Further details are available on our website and will be sent when you register your interest below.
As well as nurturing enthusiastic students, the RGS is a welcoming and rewarding place to work. The latest ISI inspection report identified two significant strengths within our School; "scholarship" and "mutual respect". You will have a passion for the English language and a desire to share this with pupils from the First Form (Year 7) through to the Sixth Form. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who are confident teaching a second subject.
