Reporting Lines: The postholder will report to the Cover and Logistics Manager
Lunch: An early lunch will be provided at 11.45am.
Join the Lunchtime Supervisor team at the RGS and oversee students in the dining hall and the playground as well as supporting teaching staff with cover lessons as necessary.
You will be a confident communicator, calm under pressure and enjoy working as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee students in the dining hall, playground, and other designated areas.
- Encourage students to eat their lunch and to monitor those who repeatedly leave their food.
- Encourage positive behaviour and address any misconduct promptly.
- Assist with tidying up the dining hall during lunchtime.
- Direct or escort students to the school nurse if they are injured or unwell.
- Ensure students remain within permitted areas and report any unauthorised visitors or safety concerns to the Deputy Head.
- Supervise cover lessons as directed.
The Royal Grammar School has a responsibility for and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The person appointed to this post will be required to apply for an enhanced Disclosure Certificate from the DBS.
