The Head of Pupil Progress and New Pupil Assessment will sit on the Prep Senior Management Team (SMT) as well as teaching English and Maths to pupils in upper KS2. As well as core teaching responsibilities, the postholder will:
- Introduce and champion evidence-based educational practice relevant to the school's context
- Maintain strong, purposeful links with RGS Guildford (Senior) to ensure academic alignment
- Ensure clear, effective communication of academic progress to staff, parents and governors
- Lead parental initiatives relating to pupil progress
- Analyse assessment data to identify trends, strengths and areas for development
- Ensure that academic progress supports pupils' successful transition to their senior school of choice
- Line manage designated staff members
