Applications are invited for this Locum Consultant in Neurology position within the Neurology Department at North Middlesex Hospital, part of the Royal Free London Group. The team includes 6 substantive Consultants. The role focuses on General Neurology and Brain 2WW pathways, with no general medical or on-call duties currently. Candidates should be on the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT receipt at interview.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide clinical care and leadership in Neurology outpatient clinics.
  • Conduct virtual clinics, communicate diagnoses efficiently to patients and referrers.
  • Vet referrals and respond to Advice and Guidance requests from General Practice.
  • Perform other clinical tasks as requested by clinical leads.

Qualifications

  • MRCP or equivalent
  • Full GMC registration with license to practice
  • CCST/CCT or equivalent in Neurology, or within 6 months of CCT, or working towards CESR
  • Experience in Neurology
  • Ability to manage clinical care independently
  • Higher postgraduate qualification/degree
