Working hours: Part time - 28 hours per week (up to 5 days per week, including short and long days as well as weekends). Shifts will be based cross site between Barnet General and Chase Farm Hospitals.
Salary: £34,521 - £41,956 per annum inclusive of HCAS

Main duties of the job We are looking to appoint a band 5 nurse to be a part of a dynamic and supportive multi-disciplinary team. You will need to be flexible, motivated and committed to patient-centred care for women in the outpatient setting. The role will include working alongside Consultants and Clinical Nurse Specialists as well as a wider team to support patients and staff in a clinical environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for helping in outpatient clinics including colposcopy, hysteroscopy, vulval, urodynamic, oncology and general gynaecological outpatient clinics. Some of the duties will include:
- Clinical chaperoning and assisting.
- Development of the service and personal skills and training.
- Working with students.
- Interacting with the wide MDT to ensure safe and well managed clinic activity.
- Stepping up in the absence of the gynae oncology clinical nurses.
Person specification:
- Demonstrable ability to meet the Trust Values.
- Evidence of recent and ongoing professional development.
- Experience working in gynaecology outpatient hospital setting.
- Awareness of current professional nursing issues.
- Demonstrates sound knowledge of infection control standards.
- Proven communication skills and ability to negotiate.
- Ability to supervise unregistered staff and students.
- Ability to maintain a safe clinical environment conducive to patient care.
- Ability to work well within a team.
