Main duties of the job:
- Manage allocated out-patients admin team.
- Deliver appraisals and mandatory training requirements for all staff within this team.
- Work in partnership with wider multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients are provided with the best possible care.
- Train, support, and performance manage allocated team to ensure operational processes are embedded in staff practice.
- Deliver a high standard of customer care to a wide range of client groups, including the multi-disciplinary team, patients, relatives, and their carers.
- Play a proactive role in collecting, investigating, verifying, and recording a high standard of patient demographic and treatment data.
- Ensure that allocated team accurately and in a timely manner enter such information on EPR, to ensure that the trust receives the appropriate level of income for patient activity, avoids the potential clinical risks inherent with inaccurate patient records and is compliant with national NHS targets (e.g. on data quality and length of patient wait).
- Undertake effective forward planning, to ensure that the administrative needs of the service are met and must carry out a range of effective administration processes to support the delivery of high quality patient care.
- Provide assistance with projects within the department to support with data collection.
- Represent the Service manager as required.

QualificationsEssential criteria: NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent. Desirable criteria: Evidence of continuing personal development.
ExperienceEssential criteria: Previous work experience in a NHS environment. Experience of working in a public/patient facing role.
