Responsibilities

  • Accountable for diligently monitoring and tracking patients on suspected cancer pathways through the Somerset and NBSS systems.
  • Ensure the pursuit of all necessary actions, evaluate them, and prepare for discussion during the weekly cancer PTL meetings.
  • Work closely with the management team to resolve hindrances along the pathway and escalate challenges promptly when required.
  • Develop understanding of the 62-day national cancer waiting time targets, the 28-day expedited diagnostic standard, and NHS Breast Screening Programme guidelines for PTL pathways.
  • Facilitate the Effective Tracking of Patient Tracker Lists, adhere to deadlines for data submission, and actively participate in PTL review meetings to provide insights and present findings.
  • Support critical administrative functions linked to the North London Breast Screening Service in alignment with Trust and NHS Breast Screening Programme guidelines and targets.
