The Clinical Vascular Specialist Nurse (CNS) will provide expert care for patients with vascular conditions, delivering high-quality, evidence-based nursing interventions. This role requires a combination of clinical expertise, advanced nursing skills, and the ability to function autonomously as a specialist. The postholder will also be actively involved in service development, audits, and providing both formal and informal education to staff and patients.

Main duties of the job

Work closely with vascular surgeons, physiotherapist and other healthcare profession to advise and support in the delivery of specialised care.

Provide specialist nursing care to patients with vascular conditions, including peripheral artery disease, aneurysm and vascular malformation.

The Post holder will be a skilled, autonomous practitioner with expert knowledge in the specialist care of vascular disease, develop and implement individualised care plans for patients with vascular conditions.

  • Post registration qualification relevant to specialty
  • Master's level study or working towards MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice/related subject

Experience

  • Substantial post-registration experience in vascular disease
